Car Burglars Zero In On Surfers’ Dumb Hiding Places

Surfers and others using the beach are the target of car burglars.

In the month of April alone … at least 30 cars parked in Malibu got hit by burglars while the owners were in the water.

And the L A County sheriff’s department is startIng a public awareness program … don;’t hide you keys.

“The bad guys know this.

“They know right where to look for your key … like on your spare tire or ypur bumper.

“I see it all the time.”

Seatoo says the department plans to use additional deputies … some of them on bicycles … at places where swimmers and surfers park their cars … hide their keys and go into the ocean.
