State Contractors Race To Remove Fire Hulks

It looks doubtful that state contractors will meet the deadline to remove fire debris in the Wolsey Fire disaster.
Right now … they are 46 down and 960 to go.
That’s the track record so far for the Cal Recycles crews … removing fire-destroyed houses from Malibu … the Conejo Valley and Ventura County.
About a thousand homeowners signed up for the state contractors to access their properties and haul off the wreckage.
Some parts of Malibu look radically different … like Dume Drive.
The state contractors are racing a March 15th deadline … to remove the debris.
L A County’s Board of Supervisors set that deadline for landowners to clear their own lots if they go it alone.
It’s not clear if the deadline will be extended … because it does not look like the state will make that deadline.
