Santa Monica Protest: St Johns Nurses Say ‘No Masks’ – SM Closes Farmers Mkt, Malibu Farmers Mkt Open

Some nurses at one of the closest hospitals to Malibu are on the picket lines this morning.

Providence st. John Hospital in Santa Monica is accused of forcing nurses to work in COVID-19 wards proper personal protective equipment.

The nurses say there is a shortage of N-95 masks … and they are only giving surgical masks as they are told to attend to COVID-19 patients.

One nurse told NBC 4 news this morning that doctors have told them not to enter those rooms without an end 95 mask.

A spokesperson for the hospital told NBC 4 that the CDC guidelines for infectious disease we’re being met at all times.

Both sides sent patient care was not being affected by this mornings protest at Providence St. John’s Hospital in Santa Monica.

Santa Monica closed its farmers Markers this weekend … to prevent large crowds.

Malibu’s Farmers market has implemented extreme measures to prevent possiboe virrus contamination…. and it will be open Sunday.

Strict social distancing rules.

The sellers are wearing masks and gloves … and will hand th eproduce or eggs pr other products to customers in bags.

Malibu Farmers market remains open as an essential service.
