And speaking of electricity … that regional energy alliance that will soon start selling electricity in Malibu is setting its rates.
The Clean Power Alliance of Southern California is a cooperative … buying electricity on the wholesale market … using Edison lines for delivery … and selling it to consumers.
The Clean Power Alliance is ramping up … and is forcing Edison to compete by ramping up its green energy efforts.
The alliance will sell 100 percent renewable energy … to customers who want to pay 7 percent more than their current Edison bill.
But if a customer wants to go halfway renewable … product will save customers 3 percent.
