Names Of 2 Men Killed Near Malibu Released

The county corner door says it was a 21-year-old pedestrian who was struck and killed by a car on Pacific Coast Highway in Malibu last Friday.
Francisco Antonio Mundo Hernandez was struck and killed buy a Prius driven buy a 62-year-old woman from Calabasas at five in the morning Friday… in the unincorporated area east of mastros restaurant.
The CHP has not yet said if the driver was at fault … but the crash report says the pedestrian had been on the right shoulder and for reasons unknown wandered into the car’s path.
The driver was not arrested.

And the name of the man who was discovered in a ditch in Malibu Canyon last week has been released … along with grizzly details about how he was murdered.
The Malibu Times is reporting that Francisco Reynaldo Cruz, according to a spokesperson for the Los Angeles County Coroner’s Office.
Cruz was a 52-year-old Los Angeles resident.
He was found by a passerby at midday on Wednesday May 16th in a drainage ditch next to the Malibu Hindu Temple is located.
The corner says the man had been stabbed and suffered a blunt force injury to his head.
Whether he met his death in Malibu Canyon … or had been dumped there … has not been released by county homicide detectives.
