Memorial Day Traffic Seemed Smoother At New Turn Lane

Malibu is adjusting to the new traffic lanes at the Cross Creek traffic light … including the new right turn lane onto Cross Creek Road.

As predicted … that turn lane seems to be significantly reducing westbound traffic jams on heavy beach days at the Civic Center.

Limited observation of the new turn lane so that westbound traffic at the bridge was not clogging up yesterday … memorial day.

Only one east bound turn lane at Webb Way is open so far … as the city is about to rebuild Webb way and install a traffic light at the four way stop at Civic Center Way at Webb.

All these road widenings and other so-called improvements are being paid for by developers of the whole foods market … the La Paz Office building … the new community college and other commercial developers in the Civic Center area.

The plan is to reduce traffic delays on PCH to make room for new traffic delays.

So far so good.
