Mayor Rick Mullen Buries

It was freshman Malibu mayor Rick Mullen’s turn to give a state of the city address this year.
And if backers of the three candidates who ran as a reform slate had any ideas left about a revolution at city hall … they were officially buried last Friday.
Mullen heaped effusive praise on city manager Reva Feldman … and city attorney Christi Hogin … during his speech.
Mullen was backed in the last election by Malibu activists who had hoped for a big change in the city hall administration.
But last Friday … at the Chamber of Commerce … Mullen effusively praised the city manager .
CITYSTATE MULLEN :18 QQQ: A VERY GOOD SITUATION.
“You now it’s fun to call yourself the mayor of Malibu, but the reality is that I don’t do the hard work.
“These people do the really hard work.
“And our council is lucky to come into a job where there’s money in the bank.
“And for a government institution that’s kind of cool.
“Instead of being in the red, and being handed a nightmare, we’ve got a very good situation.”
