Man Killed Crossing PCH At County Line Beach

Just over the line in Ventura County … a pedestrian was killed last night on P C H near Neptunes Net.
A man was attempting to cross P C H just east of the restaurant … halfway to Tonga Street.
He was hit by a van heading west … according to the CHP.
The area along County Line Beach has parking on both sides of the road.
And pedestrian crossings are frequent … as are motorists travelling at or above the 55 mile per hour traffic.
There is no indication that the driver of the van had been speeding … just before the crash … which was just after dark … at 8:45 last night.
