Public Meeting Sunday May Shed Light On Malibu Canyon Murder
Written by 991KBU on August 17, 2018
Police agencies are gearing up for Sunday’s 11 a-m public forum at the King Gillette Ranch.
The five police agencies that patrol Malibu Canyon will be called to explain how they coordinated their response to reports of shootings in the area … shootings before and after a camper was shot and killed inside his tent last June 20th.
State Senator Henry Stern has called the community meeting … Sunday at 11 at the park headquarters just a quarter mile from where Tristan Beaudette was killed.
The murder investigation is being handled by the LA County sheriff’s homicide bureau.
Deputies investigated some of the shootings … that happened in years before the murder … but then for some reason tapered off.
But some of the shootings were handled by State Park rangers …. who are also police officers.
Five police agencies patrol the canyons … MRCA rangers …
It should be a real media circus … lots of T-V trucks and outraged citizenry.
You’re supposed to sign up to attend.
