4 Million dollars going from Malibu developers to pay for the Puerco Campgound.

Coastal Commission officials reveal they have already approved the MRCA Puerco Canyon campground, and will transfer $4 million from a revolving fund – paid in part by Malibu hotels and the cemetery.

This morning we’re in San Francisco … where the California Public Utilities Commission.

will vote on a plan to allow Southern California Edison to black out Malibu rather than risk power lines falling and causing a fire during Santa Ana windstorms.

The Malibu Times is reporting that the traffic crash in Malibu Canyon last Tuesday .. a fatal one … was a suicide.

66-year-old Jayne Fleming … a resident of the northern San Fernando Valley … was killed as her car went down a cliff near the tunnel.

Malibu Search and rescue workers and Los Angeles County Fire Department personnel risked life and limb to get to the car … to check the woman … who was dead of massive injuries.

A helicopter was also deployed to assist.

Witnesses say that the woman’s Toyota went from 45 miles per hour to about 70 as she accelerated towards the edge of the cliff.

The coroner has ruled it a suicide.
