The reward for information leading to an arrest in the Malibu Creek murder has jumped again … and Malibu artist Stafford Taylor continues his recovery at the UCLA Medical Center.

A fifth city Council candidates has pulled papers to run.
Lance Simmens took out petitions Tuesday.
On his web site … Simmons describes himself as a writer with 40 years in senior level positions with two US Presidents, two US Senators, two prominent Governors.
And its says he is active in local politics in Malibu.
Simmens was active as a volunteer … where he was elected president of the Malibu Adamson House Foundation Board of Directors.
That lasted 10 months before the board dumped him.
Simmens called that … we quote … “a small minded and petty effort.”
Four other candidates are also running for the two available seats.
They are Olivia Damavandi Ayreh … Karen Farrer … Jim Palmer and Mikke Pierson .
