Daytime high temperatures will be hot hot hot this week.
Daytime highs will range from 85-92 degrees at the immediate coast to 92-108 degrees inland.
The hottest days are expected to be Tuesday and Wednesday.
And a southerly swell generated from the waters near New Zealand.
It will bring 4 to 7 foot surf to exposed south facing beaches of Los Angeles and Ventura Counties Monday morning thru Tuesday evening.
Surf of 4 to 7 feet with possible max sets to 8 feet at times will develop this morning.
And surf will be up through Wednesday night.
Minor tidal overflows are possible at high tide.
A high tide of about 5.9 feet will crest after 7 this evening. And a high tide of about 6.0 feet will crest around 730 p.m. tomorrow.

The Los Angeles Times has a big story over the weekend on how the California legislature forces speed limits to go up and up and up.

Caltrans will be moving heavy equipment around on Pacific Coast Highway at the eastern end of Malibu starting today.
Large equipment will be moved up tuna Canyon Road … to be placed on a hillside bench above the highway.
A landslide closed PCH in 1997 west of Tuna Canyon Rd.
Caltrans shaved back the hillside and installed drains on the cliff.
But the soft dirt has eroded and the drains don’t work… so the upper part of the road cut is going to be re-sculpted.
There should be no major impact on PCH traffic … once the equipment is unloaded … caltrans tells us.
But there will be a flagger on Tuna Canyon Road … it’s the one way road that comes down from the mountains behind Topanga.

Malibu’s local congressman Ted Lieu continues to speak on the national stage.
The democrat from Torrance and Santa Monica bay communities is leading the left’s charge against the President’s actions with Russia.
Lieu appeared on C N N over the weekend … and said Vladimir Putin should not be setting foot on U-S soil … much less the White House.
