- = And a hard closure between Neptune’s Net and Las Posas Road.
- = Almost an inch and a half of rain hits some parts of Malibu.
- = No pollution is detected in the dirt that is washing out of the hills onto Malibu High.

Rain continues to fall in Malibu at daybreak.
And this time … it’s the eastern end of the city that apparently got the most rain.
1.44 inches of rain in the last 24 hours at Big Rock Mesa (period ending 5:05am Monday).

The middle school and high school has an already-planned pupil free day, and school resumes there Tuesday.

Testing on the ash that washed onto Malibu High School’s field during a major rain storm in December has been completed.
And its shows no levels of pollution.

The Los Angeles Times has compiled a comprehensive analysis of the beginnings of the Woolsey Fire.
And it asks questions about the decisions made by fire commanders … when the fire first broke out … and when it headed towards the 101 Freeway and the Malibu ocean.

The MRCA reveals plans to drastically increase visitor numbers in a Malibu canyon already plagued by overuse and visitor pollution.
MRCA plans to construct a new trail between Escondido Falls and Pacific Coast Highway.
Except most of the trail will not be a trail at all … it will be the private road owned and maintained by homeowners … called Murphy Way.
