There are more than 220 property owners in the Woolsey Fire area who have had houses burn down … who have not joined the state debris program .. and who have failed to file plans to remove the debris on their own.
49 of those are in the City of Malibu.
They have a deadline of Friday to scrape their lots.
Obviously … that deadline was set by the L A County Board of Supervisors… and it is a bit overly severe.
Yesterday … the county served notice that the deadline is extended to an indefinate date.
But … property owners are required to make their intentions known by tomorroe … March 15th.
Th county now says property owners can request an extension and obtain assistance to fill out the forms.
The Debris Removal Operations Center on Agoura Road in Calabasas can help.
Their phone number is (626) 979-5370.
