In Capetown South Africa … Malibu resident Howdy Kabrins could be seen crying and softly banging his fist on the court bench …. as he heard his daughter’s boyfriend get convicted of her murder.
Malibu native Gabriella Kabrins Alban was killed by her on again … off again … boyfriend …
Diego Novella …. the Cape Town high court ruled on Thursday.
Gabriella Kabrins Alban was killed at a Cape Town area luxury resort hotel on July 29, 2015.
Judge Vincent Saldanha rejected the defendants arguments that he was innovent due to drug intoxication.
Said the judge : “In my view, the accused’s version was wholly contrived.
“There is nothing in [his] conduct that his mind had been ‘hijacked’.”
In the judge’s view … “he knew exactly what he was doing at the time and it was a clear indication on his part of the intent to murder Kabrins Alban.
During the verdict … Howdy Kabrins broke down and turned to face the accused … as the verdict was read out.
Afterwards … he told the South Africa TV station 24 that he would be in South Africa for Diego Novella’s sentencing in August.
