Former TV Star, Malibu Resident, Touted As Future GOP Gubernatorial Candidate

A prominent Malibu resident is swatting back rumors in Republican circles that she will run for governor … to challenge incumbent Gavin Newsom … either in the possible recall election … or in the fall 2022 general election.
Caitlyn Jenner … the former Olympian … the former Wheaties commercial pitchman … and the former star of “Keeping Up With The Khardashians.”
Politico reports that there had been mounting talk in GOP circles in recent days that Jenner would be a strong candidate in the event that there is an election to recall Democratic Gov. Gavin Newsom.
Top Republicans from California to Washington were abuzz … according to Politico … with the rumor about Jenner.
They said Jenner was the kind of a celebrity figure with the wide appeal needed for a Republican to win in the liberal state … sort of like of Arnold Schwarzenegger.
But last night … Jenner’s manager moved to swat down the speculation.
Sophia Hutchins said “Caitlyn is not running for governor, has never considered running for governor and is very happy doing the work that she is doing to promote LGBT rights and spending time with her 18 grandchildren and 10 children.”
