Small Fire on Malibu Road, Classes Delayed 1 More Day at MHS

Some excitement this morning on Malibu Road.
A garbage can caught fire … next to a house at 24858 Malibu Road.
The fire spread to a fenceline … and then the side of the house.
The first arriving engine put out the fire.
No cause has been determined,

Tests for PCB contamination at Malibu High School have not come back from a lab in Utah yet … and that means one more day of delay in restarting school there.
The district announced late yesterday that teachers will reenter the classrooms tomorrow —- Tuesday —- and students will report Wednesday.
Also delayed by one day … the “Mini Get Your Stuff Day “ … which now moves to Tuesday.
The mini “Mini Get Your Stuff Day“ is for anyone who needs to update emergency cards, health records, or who needs new textbooks, ID cards, PE Clothes and agendas.
The PTSA parent welcome breakfast will now occur on Wednesday from 7:30am – 9:30am in the music building.
