Dead Man Found In Upper Malibu Canyon

An apparent murder mystery in Upper Malibu Canyon.
A dead man … wearing only his underwear … was found yesterday in a ditch … off Malibu Canyon-Las Virgenes Road.
The gruesome discovery made by a motorist … in a ditch next to the Malibu Indian temple …. In the 1600 block of Los Virgenes Road … just before noon yesterday.
It’s possible the body had been dumped and the murder occurred elsewhere … sheriffs deputies said.
Homicide detectives had the dead end road next to the temple taped off all afternoon and into the evening.
There has been no identification released to the public.
Sheriff deputies ask anyone who saw any unusual activity along Los Virgenes Road yesterday to call them.
