CHP Vows Saturday Takeover Will Not Be Repeated

This noise from Saturday was heard loud and clear by the California Highway Patrol.
PCH MASSACRE SOUND FROM SATURDAY
As we’ve reported …that’s the sound from last Saturday’s blockade and takeover of Pacific Coast Highway by sideshow stunt drivers … and their fans … made a big impact at the C H P southern California headquarters.
Although only one vehicle … apparently … was confiscated by the cops … P C H was blocked for a half hour .. for the stunts.
C-H-P spokesman Leland Teng tells KBUU News that this takeover took the C H P by surprise …. and that the agency did not know about it until news reports afterwards.
TENG AAAA :23 QQ: INTO THOSE GROUPS.
“It is very covert.
“They use various different means and they are getting smarter and smarter becayse they know we are trolling around.
“We have a huge social media unit that looks through social media and things of that nature.
“And we have also a few undercover officers that have kind of gotten themselves endeared into these kind of groups.”
Both the C H P and the local sheriff’s office say they were -NOT- alerted by any drivers or malibu residents as to the event.
They were tipped off when news media started posting videos taken by the racers.
Teng says its imperative that witnesses call 9-1-1 when they see stunts on P C H … even if people assume others have already made that call.
TENG BBBB :15 QQQQ OUT OF THIS.
“If we get a huge swarm of 911 calls, you know it’s going to be documented and it will hit our radar a lot quicker and we can get resources out there.
“To my knowledge, nobody was arrested, nothing happened enforcement wise out of this.”
Teng says the C H P can bring in aircraft … and up to 60 police officers…. deputies and CHP officers … quickly when a sideshow develops.
That’s what happened last summer …. when a sideshow developed at Zuma Beach.
