Cal Recycles Deadline Now Jan 28 – Zuma Jay Says ‘Take The Deal’

Written by on January 10, 2019

The deadline to sign up for the Cal Recycles demolition project has been extended.

Landowners may sign up for the program until January 28th.

As you know … the state program CalRecycle will work in conjunction with the LA County Public Works, will provide debris removal for homes destroyed by the Woolsey Fire, and removal of other types of eligible debris, at no cost to property owners and residents.

It’s almost free … but if a homeowner gets paid by an insurance company for debris removal  … the state will want to be reimbursed that amount by the policyholder.

The Right Of Entry forms provide consent for debris removal teams to access the property.

ROE forms must be submitted by January 28, 2019 in order to be eligible for the free CalRecycle program.

Property owners are strongly encouraged by Mayor Jefferson Wagner to participate in the government-assisted debris removal program.

Wagner has looked into removing the debris at his own burned out house … using his own crews … to speed things up.

Forget about it … he says.

He says state requirements for proper waste disposal are extremely difficult.

The form requires far more demolition removal and waste hauling details than most peole can handle… he says.

The Cal Recycles effort will be a safer, streamlined process with no-fee administered.
