Cabrillo Kids Learn Water Is Precious

School children will be walking along the beach tomorrow … for the second annual Malibu Walk for Water.
The Samburu Project is organizing the event.
They are a nonprofit organization that provides drinking water to the Samburu people … a nomadic tribe in Africa where the women and girls walk up to 12 miles every day in search of water.
As part of the project at Juan Cabrillo Elementary School … kids are learning about how difficult that is … and how drinking water is not something to be taken for granted.
The kids will be out from 8:30 to 11 … starting at Trancas Market and moving down the beach.
