After Two Months, Family Keeps Hopes For Missing Man Alive

Written by on October 1, 2018

The family of Matthew Weaver was up on Stunt Road … in the mountains high above Malibu … last weekend.

Weaver went missing two months ago … amidst suspicious circumstances …

His dad brother and sister lead volunteer search efforts … looking for car keys … a wallet … a cell phone … anything that might lead to clue about what happened to the man.

Malibu search and rescue teams have been scouring the mountain top … near the Saddlepeak communications towers … more than a half dozen times.

His brother James Weaver… tells KBUU News on Saturday that it’s not even certain that Mattehw Weaver is in the area.

WEAVER AAAA :THATS WHAT IM HOPING FOR

“You know, Matthew was down for the last couple of months.

“Mentally, you know, he was just, you know, maybe he was working and not being as successful as he wanted to be.

“I’m hoping maybe he just took a break.

“He spoke of New York, candidly, so maybe, I’m hoping, he just took off and left the area.

“That’s what I am hoping for.”

And the family’s message for Malibu?
WEAVER BBBB QQQ: KNOW THATS FINE

“If they can just keep their eye out, you know, for Matthew.

And if they just approach him, just say hey he’s not in trouble, and none of this is going to be ….

He doesn’t have to pay for any of the search and rescue or anything,

we just want to let him know we love him and come home.

“Or just let is know that you’re alive.

“If you are doing something else with your life right now, that’s fine.”

One thing the family wanted to pass on the Malibu community.

They have nothing but praise and thanks for the local sheriff’s deputies … and the county’s search and rescue efforts …

They disavow claims circulated in Malibu … that there is some sort of coverup regarding Weaver’s disappearance.

They say they have received excellent cooperation from the local sheriff’s office.
