Playground Death Threat ‘Does Not Rise Ot Level of a Crime’

Los Angeles County sheriffs officials say they have reviewed the cellphone video of a school yard brawl at Malibu High School … and say that death threats shouted by a a teenaged boy do not rise to the level of a crime.
The video has circulated widely on the internet.
It shows a playground scuffle on the basketball courts escalate into a shotung match.
Racial insults are yelled.
People spit at each other.
One child yells at another student … I am going to kill you … I am going to have my father kill you.
The issue came up at a public meeting with L A County sheriff Alex Villanueva … last night in Malibu.
The sheriff had not seen it … but he had his local commanders in the room ….
They said they had looked at the video … decided it was not a crime … and have left the matter to school officials.
And those school officials held an assembly with students … to discuss the issue.
