That’s the recommended new name for Point Dume Marine Sciences Elementary School.
Some people apparently love it.
Others … not quite sure why the Point Dume name has to disappear.
Malibu Ocean Elementary School abbreviates to MOES … and the first thing to our brain-addled conscience is Moe’s Tavern.
We humbly suggest that the elementary school’s official mascot be … the Point Dume Flaming MOES ( … see illustration … ).
