40 Mile Roundtrip To Nearest Early Voting Center In Culver City

With little notice … voting began in Los Angeles County last weekend for the November election.
And we’re not talking about vote by mail.
10 early voting centers were open on Saturday and Sunday … for voters anywhere in LA County to go and cast their ballots.
But Malibu residents were not exactly well served by the L A County registrar’s plan … to open 10 early voting centers across L A County.
The nearest open voting center to Malibu was in Culver City … 20 miles away from City Hall.
The early voting centers was somewhat of a experiment … as a state moves to radically changing the way elections are held.
In 2020 … the current plan is to eliminate neighborhood voting and establish large voting centers .
Back to this year … if you want to vote next Saturday or Sunday … you can cast your ballot at West LA College in Culver City.
Other locations include the western San Fernando Valley.
But none of them are close to Malibu.
