Search For Clues Continues As Deputies Comb Rough Canyon Area

Los Angeles County Sheriff’s deputies were out in force again yesterday in Malibu Canyon …
They were combing the mountains and canyons looking for clues possibly left behind by Anthony Rauda.
He is the 42-year-old man described by his family as a loaner … and had been living in the mountains on the rough for 10 years.
Rauda remains in county jail on a weapons violation charge … as a ex con he’s not allowed to carry the rifle that he was arrested with last week.
Ballistics tests have not yet been completed on that gun … which is a center of speculation in connection with the murder last summer of Tristan Beaudette.
The 35-year-old man from Irvine had been sleeping in a tent with his two small girls … when he was shot to death.
Deputies did not say what they discovered yesterday … merely that it was due diligence as the case is investigated.
