Why Did The Tortoise Cross Kanan Dume Road? CHP Investigates

If you were listing to KBUU Radio yesterday morning … you may have heard us report about the tortoise jam on Keenan Dume Road.
Traffic was briefly held up while the CHP and county sheriffs deputies dealt with a giant Desert Tortoise … lumbering across the roadway up at Rocky Oaks.
The tortoise was briefly detained … at the side of the road … until the animal control truck arrived from the Agoura shelter.
The tortoise spent a few hours there before its owner arrived to bail it out.
