Jet Pack Spooks Dog, Hit By Car On PCH

Written by on July 6, 2018

If you thought you heard jet engines at Trancas last night, you did.

A British entrepreneur took a test flight of his jet suit around the parking lot, near Trancas Creek.

His name … Richard Browning.

His company … Gravity International.

Browning apparently makes his living charging corporate events and the like for jet suit demonstrations.

Last night … he told lifeguards he was going to fly a drone.

Instead … he blasted off with jet engines … just after 8 o clock.

Last night’s little test flight was loud enough to cause a small dog to bolt from its owners on the beach … and run onto Pacific Coast Highway … where it was struck by a car.

It does not look like any serious injuries.

Browning was informed of the crash by witnesses … and quickly packed his kit up.

Lifeguards arrived and asked him to stay to talk to sheriff’s deputies. He was asked if he would speak to the dog’s owner about a vet bill.

Instead, Browning drove thru soft sand to escape … he got caught for a  few seconds … then sped away.

He did say he was sorry … as he sped away.
