Biggest Hurricane Waves In 4 Years Arrive About 9PM July 4th

It was four years ago that hurricane Marie churned the waters down off of Baja … and sent waves big enough to cause damaging coastal flooding into Los Angeles County.
No damage to Malibu … but there was coastal flooding down in Orange County and the Seal Beach area.
The National Weather Service is now saying that hurricane Fabio … churning off the coast of Baja today … is big enough to cause similar coastal flooding on Thursday and Friday.
This swell is slightly smaller but very similar to the swell from Hurricane Marie in August 2014 … according to the National Weather Service.
Back then … when large surf … lethal rip currents, and damaging coastal flooding of exposed south-facing coastlines occurred up the southern California coast.
A large southerly swell from Hurricane Fabio will move into the Malibu waters late Wednesday evening.
We will also see 11 foot surf on Friday … when the inland temperatures will be above 110°.
And beach crowds will be huge.
Friday and Saturday will see record heat … with downtown Los Angeles expecting to blow through the current record for Friday of 94°.
Saturday’s record of 96° is also likely to fall.
The high temperature along the coast in Malibu will be around 90°.
As for the Fourth of July … not much change in temperatures … and will have the forecast in a few minutes.
