Supporters of Malibu city councilman Jefferson Wagner are planning to stage a rally at tonight’s city council meeting.
They want to send a message to the city that the Wagner has community support.
Wagner is under investigation for some sort of alleged felony … by the county district attorney’s office.
But it’s not the city that is doing the felony investigation into Wagner … it’s L-A County’s district attorney’s office.
There are allegations made by some Wagner supporters that Malibu’s city government … one of 89 cities in giant L-A County … somehow did this.
A great conspiracy is alleged.
No evidence … no link … presented.
Wagner’s house is outside city limits … it was raided 10 days ago … by D-A investigators apparently examining where Wagner sleeps.
The issue … is if Wagner maintains a domicile at is longtime house in a canyon outside Malibu city limits.
If so … that would be a felony under California elections law.
No comment from the D-A … KBUU News has spent a great deal of effort trying to get any details from the affidavits about the search warrant …
But the D-A is keeping the investigation sealed tight
The Go Fund Me campaign to raise 20 thousand dollars for Wagner’s legal costs has hit almost 23 thousand dollars.
