In Cape Town South Africa … that murder trial with a Malibu connection continues to grind along.
Final arguments have been heard in the case against Guatemala millionaire Diego Novella … who is accused of murdering his American Gabriela Kabrins Alban in July 2015.
She was a Malibu native … her father … Malibu resident Hody Kabrins … has been in court for the entire trial.
Final arguments were being heard in the Western Cape High Court yesterday.
The defendant insists that his criminal capability was compromised by his use of cannabis and other drugs.
The judge apparently is not buying that.
It’s unclear when the trial will result in a verdict.
It’s been going on for the better part of the year.
