$150k Avail, $760k Sought By Malibu Groups

Malibu’s city government has set aside 150 thousand dollars this year for local community groups.
This year … they have 760 thousand dollars in requests.
Some of them are huge … like 300 thousand dollars requested by the Malibu Boys and Girls Club.
Some of them small … like the three thousand dollars sought by elementary school cheerleader team.
Two city council members … Rick Mullen and Skylar Peak … have been appointed to sift through this year’s applications.
They will meet at City Hall this morning .. and they have only 20 cents for each dollar of requests.
