Tik Tok Vandals Strike Malibu High and Middle School, Principals Say

The Tik Tok vandalism fad has spread nationwide … and to Malibu High School.

Principals Melissa Andino and Patrick Miller sent a letter to parents … starting with regret.

Multiple instances of graffiti, destruction, and theft to school buildings … most particularly … restrooms.

The principals say it may have been one person … or a very small group of students.

And the principals wrote to ask parents to help find the culprits.

The principals are asking parents to have a conversation with their kids “about the importance of sharing information with school staff if they are aware of who may be doing this.”

They are asking parents to monitor their kids social media accounts … “and report any videos of destruction of school property … immediately. 

They are asking parents to check kids’ backpacks … make sure kids are not taking Sharpie pens or paint markers to school .

“And that to make sure that no school items are being brought home … by including a check of their backpack daily as part of your routine.”

Given the cost of the vandalism, a police report has been filed with Lost Hills Sheriff’s Station … the principals said.  

Quoting again … “our entire community has spent many years and hundreds of hours helping see these new buildings completed and opened for our students. We also believe that all students should have access to clean restrooms, especially during the ongoing pandemic. Our custodians and staff have worked tirelessly to ensure restrooms are cleaned and stocked and this behavior is making this hard to do.”
