Malibu Coronavirus Rate is 1/5th That of LA Countywide – Working Class Areas Slammed At 25 Times Our Rate

Los Angeles County racked up more than 10,000 coronavirus cases in a 24-hour span for the first time ever.
And yesterday … add 8 thousand tests on a Monday … when test results typically dip because of the weekend.
California crossed the 20,000 cumulative death toll.
Statewide more than 34,000 new coronavirus cases were reported Monday alone… according to an LA Times’ county-by-county tally of infections.
Malibu 169. Up five.
Santa Monica Mountains 212. Up One.
New figures from the Los Angeles County to department of public health so that Malibu has a very very low rate of covid 19 infections.
Malibu residents are largely able to self isolate … and can afford it to either not work or work from home.
New statistics from the county show that Malibu has a case rate of 145 cases per 100,000 people … adjusted to Malibu’s small population.
That 145 figure compares to 262 in Santa Monica 334 in Brentwood … 230 in Agoura Hills and 472 in Beverly Hills.
Malibu’s rate of 145 cases is about 1/5 of the countywide rate … of 622 cases per 100,000 people.
And it is only one tenth the rate of working class neighborhoods like Pacoima … or the eastern San fernando Valley area.
East Covina has an infection rate of 3,749 … which is 25 times greater than Malibu’s.
