Sunday was remarkably quiet in Malibu.
We heard far fewer thundering motorcycle and exotic cars racing up and down P C H.
And no arrested surfers … unlike last Friday.
Sergeant Rod Loughridge … late yesterday.

SGT. LOUGHRIDGE: “Actually been a very pleasant day.
“We’ve had no reports of any type of behavior or major incidents within the Malibu lost Hills reporting district.
REPORTER: “And beach team … that do they have to say today ???”
SGT. LOUGHRIDGE: “Everything’s been very cooperative out there … we have had no major incidents that have been reported.”

Word comes from Pepperdine University about the death of a retired professor from COVID 19.
The university has told students and faculty that Emeritus Professor Wayne Strom has died of complications from COVID-19 …
It is not known where Strom died … or whether he kept an office at Pepperdine.
University president Jim Gash says “this tragedy brings into sharp focus the heavy toll that this pandemic is having a human life.”
Gas goes on to say “my heart goes out to each of you as we all grapple not only with the impact that this virus is having countless others around the world but also on our Pepperdine family.”
Wayne Strom headed this thing which career at the Graas deal business school as well as a long list of local corporations in Hollywood … such as ABC in the Culver Studios.

Additional rain overnight should be around 0.05 to 0.25 inch for the coast
For today … showers and possibly a thunderstorm before 11am, then a chance of showers and thunderstorms after 11am.
High near 61. South southwest wind 10 to 15 mph, with gusts as high as 20 mph. Chance of precipitation is 100%.

There’s a 30 percent chance of showers, mainly before midnight.
Low around 43.
