LA Emergency Preparedness Foundation Issues Frank Review of Woolsey Fire Response

An independent, non-government foundation has interviewed Malibu residents about the government response to the Woolsey Fire, one year ago.
And it makes different conclusions that the city’s report on the Woolsey Fire, explaining why Malibu could not get fire engines to help us.
It’s also different from the official LA County After Action Report, which was blasted for exonerating the L A County Fire Department, for its actions during the fire that essentially left Malibu undefended one year ago.
The Los Angeles Emergency Preparedness Foundation is a privately-funded emergency preparedness foundation. A non-government agency. It has worked closely with Mayor Eric Garcetti, Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa, the City of Los Angeles Emergency Management Department, Los Angeles Fire Department, Los Angeles Police Department, American Red Cross, FEMA, LA Long Term Recovery Committee and the victims of disasters.
And they have examined the Woolsey Fire. They interviewed dozens of people. They talked to government officials.
