Some guy hit 65 miles an hour on Birdview Avenue.
Another … 71 miles an hour on Dume Drive.
The city’s automated radar signs clock the top speeds … the results are published in the city Public Safety Commission agenda.
No camera … so we don’t know who these idiots are.
The posted speed limit is 30.
Half of the drivers violate that speed limit.
Routinely … every day … drivers hit 45 or 50 miles an hour on those residential streets.
The radar signs were posted after some residents proposed putting in Speed Humps on major streets on the point.
Others strongly opposed the speed humps.
The signs are supposed to slow people down.
They aren’t
