- The DA’s office will not explain what the raid is for … best we have is informed speculation.
- The west LA County homeless population drops … significantly.
- California State Parks plans to put a HUGE construction crane at the end of Pt Dume.
- Malibu’s straw ban goes into effect today

This traffic alert.
Numerous big double dirt haulers are working at malibu High School today.
They were lined up on Pacific Coast Highway at Zuma Beach this morning.
Heavy truck operations are underway on Morning View Drive in front of the school.
Malibu high school is currently undergoing an $80 million reconstruction at the front of the school.
And there is talk about floating another bond issue to rebuild the back half of the school.
State and federal officials have given the all clear to demolish the foundation at the front of the campus … and haul it away to a regular landfill.
There are tiny amounts of PCB … a suspected cancer-causing chemical … in some of that foundation.
We have a call in to the school district to clarify.

The L A County District Attorney is not answering any major questions today about why it raided the house and surf shop owned by Malibu city councilman Jefferson Wagner.

No more plastic straws … plastic forks … plastic spoons or plastic whatever’s in your drinks.
But what about those plastic swords in your favored adult beverage … the ones that hold the cherry or the martini olives???
Not illegal … as near as we can tell.
Although a wooden toothpick with an umbrella would work just as well.
