Planning commissioners last night lambasted city staff for a ignoring their officially-recorded decisions … when taking matters that had been voted on by the planning commission up to the city council.
Commission chair Chris Marx said that resolutions passed by the planning commission we’re not being conveyed to the city council.
Marks joint commissioners John Mazza and Steve Uhring to complain that staff members were substituting their own opinions above the decisions made by the planning commission … which is an appointed advisory body to the city Council.
Commission chair Marx pointed to the audience and waived a speakers slip …
NEWSCART 77550 ONITE MARX QQQ WHAT WE’RE DOING HERE.
“What’s upsetting to me is, that this discussion that we had for two or three hours … we all spent our evening together working on this … and nothing is here is here from itn it,
“I would rather turn this in [[[a speaker slip]]] and sit out there to give my public comment, because it would influence more than what we are doing here.”
Mazza demanded to know from staff where it says in city policies or ordinances that the recommendations of the planning commission can be dropped … and replaced with analysis from city staff.
He got no answer.
