Chopper Urges Pt Dume To Stay Inside, Arrest Made

Some scary moments yesterday at midday on Point Dume.
The elementary school was briefly put on lockdown … and a sheriffs helicopter shouted warnings to get inside and lock doors …
A dispute between two people led to a man pulling a knife … and then fleeing into a ravine below Portshead Road at P C H.
A large number of sheriffs deputies raced in … along with the sheriff’s helicopter.
The man was found hiding in the ravine … and eventually arrested.
The school lockdown ended after just a few minutes … the all clear given to the community just at noon.
